Are you a brand name snob?
Do you think that non-brand name clubs are inferior to brand name clubs? You may be right in some cases, but you are completely wrong in others! I sell many commonly available brand name lines, but read on to better understand the potential benefits of “custom clubs”.
there is an entirely different segment of the market that is “non-brand name” but offers quality and performance equal to (and usually better than) their brand name counterparts. The best example of this segment is Hireko Golf. Hireko focuses on providing a high quality head that can be customized to fit the golfer perfectly. The heads supplied by Hireko are made in the same foundries as those sold by the brand name companies (no, the brand name people do not make their own components!). Combine a high quality head fit with the proper shaft and grip, and you will have a club that is vastly superior to a brand name, mass marketed version. Wouldn’t you really prefer a club made “one at a time” to your exact specifications to something you buy off the rack? It’s like buying a suit – some folks are the perfect size and require no alterations, but most of us need some “custom tailoring” to get the perfect fit. Another thing to remember is that about a third of what I do is to “refit” brand name clubs – this is an excellent way to make them your own.
I had a very good high school player in my work shop recently who is thrilled with the shaft changes I have made in several of his clubs (along with a Hireko hybrid). I suggested he should tell his teammates about me and he commented “I have, but since you don’t sell XXX, they are not interested”. This young man is now #1 on his team, so I would expect that his play will do the talking. Maybe I will be seeing more of his teammates in the future!
Contact me if you would like to find out more about “better than brand name” options.

Hireko Golf’s Power Play Caiman X2 Tour Irons Receive Golf Tips Magazine Editors’ Pick
“We think these are some of the best-looking irons this year, and they just so happen to perform beautifully, as well. The Caiman X2 Tour Irons feature a copper-toned PVD finish, a muscle-back design and a top-line profile that better players will love. In our trial, shotshaping was a breeze and although not forged, they sure feel like it. We also dig the near endless options of custom grips and shafts to choose from at Hireko Golf. ”
- Golf Tips Magazine, August Edition
Make no bones about it, the Caiman X2 Tour irons with the razor thin topline, low offset and the tremendous amount of mass concentrated directly behind the sweet spot for that unmistakable pure feel at impact are specifically designed for the better player. The luxurious copper PVD plating bestows a one-of-a-kind appearance.
The new Power Play Caiman X2 Tour Blade Irons are available in right hand 3-PW and can be purchased custom assembled starting at £29.70 each

Play fearlessly off of the tee with the all new Caiman X2 Titanium driver. The second generation is even more raw and powerful than before. Using a new construction technique, the crown is ultra-thin and lighter weight which allows even a greater amount of weight to be shifted lower and deeper farther within the head for an astonishing combination of power and accuracy. Aerodynamic, geometric and high MOI, the Caiman X2 driver is also smokin' hot with the lustrous black PVD finish to create the ultimate driving machine.

The Acer XK Titanium Driver
Product Description Acer XK £77.60
Meet the latest generation of Acer woods loaded with many added features to improve the game of a wide range of players. First we focused on the face technology by offering a variable face thickness, cup-face design. While it is easy to provide for the maximum allowable performance on center shots, the difference of a premium club is the ability to provide near perfect results with less than perfect shots. The cup-face moves the welds away from the corners of the head to provide a thinner, more active face to maximize ball speed on the off-center shots. The variable face thickness further reduces the wall thickness around the perimeter of the impact area so the entire club face becomes a gigantic sweet spot. Now off-center or miss hits will launch the ball directly down the fairway like you perfectly struck the ball in the center of the face. The shape of the head was carefully selected to appeal to the eye of a wide range of golfers, yet improve stability by expanding the front-to back dimension. The center of gravity moves lower and further from the face to optimize launch conditions £77.60
Product Description
IT'S NOT A DRIVER - IT'S NOT A 3-WOOD
IT'S A THRIVER
If you are missing fairways off the tee on a regular basis, then the Acer XDS Insider Thriver was designed for you. We took the best aspects of a driver and a 3-wood to create the best of both worlds.
For instance, a driver is approximately 3 times the size of a #3 wood but has a much higher moment of inertia (MOI) making it more forgiving on off-center shots. Plus you have a large confidence-building, thin face that produces a spring-like effect right up to the legal limit for more distance. On the other hand, a 3 wood is more lofted and this cuts down on side spin for straighter shots, plus the shorter length enables you to have more control.
Why not just cut down your driver? It would be too light to effectively control. The Acer XDS Insider Thriver club head weighs a full 10g more than a normal driver to allow for a shorter, more controllable length that now has the proper amount of club weight. Plus we placed this added weight in a strategic location to produce an even higher MOI. Combine the higher loft (14º) of a stronger lofted #3 fairway wood and what you now have is the ultimate in control off of the tee. £69.70

The head shape and contour on the crown was specifically designed to encourage one to swing the driver on an inside-out swing path. Plus the XDS Insider’s internal weighting creates a draw enhancing ball flight on center impact. The masking on the crown using our exclusive Square Optical Alignment System, cleverly disguises the closed face angle to provide a “square” appearance so one can just trust their natural swing.
When a standard driver goes long but wrong and your #3 wood doesn’t give you the distance you need, the Acer XDS Insider “Thriver” edition is that one club you have been searching for.

Hybrid (golf)
A hybrid is a type of club used in the sport of golf with a design which differs from that of irons and woods. The name "hybrid" comes from genetics to denote a mixture of two different species with desirable characteristics of both, and the term here has been generalized, combining the familiar mechanics of an iron with the more forgiving nature and better distance of a wood.[1]
For many players, long irons (numbers 1-4) are difficult to hit well even with modern clubfaces, due to the low trajectory and very small face of the low-loft clubhead. Players tend to avoid these clubs in favor of fairway woods which have a larger "sweet spot" to hit with, but such woods, having longer shafts, have a different swing mechanic that is sometimes difficult to master. The long shaft of a fairway wood also requires lots of room to swing, making it unsuitable for tighter lies such as "punching" out from underneath trees. In addition, the fairway wood clubface is designed to skim over instead of cutting into turf, which makes it undesirable for shots from the rough. The answer to this dilemma for many players is to replace the 1-4 irons with hybrids.
Product Description Acer XDS React Hybrid £31.20
Get repeatable results with the Acer XDS React Hybrid. The Acer XDS React Hybrid features the same amount of face progression through the set, as well as conistent crown heights. This means that you won't need to readjust your setup for varying clubs, resulting in a repeatable swing every time. The railed soles glide across various types of terrain increasing solidness of contact. Plus, with the leading edge designed well forward of the hosel prevents the possibility of shanking the ball. The XDS React hybrids are the outcome of unconventional thinking for remarkable results.

Product Description Acer XDS Wide Sole £25.90
If you thought hybrids were easy to hit, the much expanded Acer XDS 'Wide Sole' Hybrid design offers you much more than current hybrid design. In fact, the design is based on fairway wood parameters that allow for the super high launch characteristics that make these hybrids easy to play. This set gradually decreases the volume or size of the head as the loft is increased and less help is usually needed. The rearward center-of-gravity of this hybrid design is enhanced by the rails at the soleplate to help you power through the grass and prevent 'digging' at impact for better quality contact with the ball. With its leading edge designed well forward of the hosel, you will be able to create more lift and produce higher launch angle thus more distance! This game- improvement set of hybrids will allow you to hit that high arching shot that you've always dreamed of hitting. Engineered for standard iron lengths, the Acer 'Wide Sole' Hybrid also provides you with additional control and accuracy. Be the first to employ these new game-improvement clubs at your course and take your game to a higher level.
Product Description Caiman X2 Power Play Hybrid £36.00
The Caiman X2 hybrids are the perfect long iron replacements by offering the best of both worlds; combining an iron face profile with a wood style body. The iron face profile provides a greater face area and expanded sweet spot, while the semi-shallow wood style body positions the weight low and away from the face making them extremely easy to hit. The variable face thickness imparts a hotter sound and feeling at impact, not to mention the PVD finish presents a stunning appearance at address.
